Download the free addon and companion. The source code is included.

Download contributor kit
  1. Install the addon. Copy the AHForeverScan folder into your WoW _classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns folder. Restart WoW or enable it at character select.
  2. Open your capital-city auction house. The addon scans automatically when the cooldown is ready. Keep the auction window open until the status panel says “Saved … listings”. Neutral auction houses are not supported.
  3. Write the scan to disk. Click Save & sync when the scan finishes, or simply log out normally. The button reloads the game UI so WoW can write the saved file.

The beta can take a few minutes to return all listings. Type /ahscan status to see the result above trade chat. If the beta cannot identify your region, use /ahscan region us, eu, kr or tw with the region you actually selected.

Automatic uploads

Install Python 3, then open Start Companion.command on Mac or Start Companion.bat on Windows. Choose your key once. The companion finds your Forever scan file automatically when there is only one account, and remembers your selection for future launches.

Leave the companion running while you play. It watches only that selected file and uploads completed scans after you reload or log out. Auction-house visits start scans automatically. You can turn this off in the addon panel. Approval and upload results appear in the companion.

Useful for your first review sample. Sign up or open your key file above first. Choose only AHForeverScan.lua, not your whole account folder.

What gets shared

Item IDs and names, stack quantities, buyout prices, region, realm, faction, beta client version and the original scan time. We do not collect character names, sellers, chat, or Battle.net credentials. Only the completed scan is uploaded; the rest of the saved file stays on your computer.

Your alias and review sample are visible to the owner. Approved scans contribute to shared price observations in AH Tracker. Samples awaiting review expire after 7 days; market observations and contribution receipts expire after 29 days. The beta’s coverage and freshness depend on players contributing scans. An old scan never becomes a new price just because it was uploaded again.
